KD Funds, the first Slovenian asset management company, joined the Generali Group in February 2019 and, within this framework, will continue its long tradition of providing outstanding asset management and investment services under a new corporate identity and new name Generali Investments. We have visionary and innovative ideas in our DNA, since we manage the first Slovenian mutual fund, Galileo, which was created in 1992.
We strongly believe in the mutual funds industry as the best product for investing in capital markets and in Slovenia we are proving to the market that we are pioneers in this industry. In 1996 we established the first bond fund, in 1998 the first equity fund in Croatia, in 2005 the first monetary fund and in 2017 the first real estate alternative investment fund.

Generali Investments, was established in 1994 under the name Kmečka družba as the first management company in Slovenia. In 1996, we acquired the management of Galileo, the first Slovenian mutual fund that is even two years older than the company itself. Our core activities comprise investment fund management and portfolio management under discretionary mandates. KD Funds, the first Slovenian asset management company, joined the Generali Group in February 2019 and, within this framework, continues its long tradition of providing outstanding asset management and investment services under a new corporate identity. The name of KD Funds has officially changed to Generali Investments LLC in August 2019, and linked its brand identity to the iconic lion of St. Mark, the symbol of Venice and of the Generali Group.
Our funds invest in a full range of asset classes, including fixed income, securities, money markets and deposits, on markets world wide in a large variety of industries. Thanks to the wide array of investment products with a robust long-term potential that we offer, investors can create their own portfolio at any time according to their financial wishes and needs.
You can choose between very safe and stable short-term investments in a money market fund, whilst at the same time benefiting from a higher level of liquidity than, for example, with bank deposits. Or you can go for mid- and long-term saving by investing in bond and equity funds, ranging from a basic globally diversified fund of equity funds to funds focusing on equities in specific regions or sectors.
